Right now, I’m curious what setups are actually working for everyone. Are you running one brutal leg day, two dedicated lower-body sessions, or a glute-focused split with some extra hamstring and quad work? I’m looking for routines that deliver real progress, not just workouts that leave you crawling out of the gym.

What’s Your Favorite Lower-Body Day Setup Right Now? 🍑🏋️
Lately, I’ve been switching up my lower-body days because I want to build stronger glutes, bigger quads, and hamstrings without feeling completely wrecked for the rest of the week.
Some people swear by a heavy squat-focused day, while others get better results splitting glutes and hamstrings from quads.
Drop your favorite setup and what’s been making the biggest difference!

Heavy squats, RDLs, leg press. Simple and effective.

I’m running two lower-body days a week right now, and honestly, it’s been a game changer. One day is glutes and hamstrings, and the other is quads with some calves at the end. My legs recover way better than when I tried cramming everything into one session.

Glute day is my favorite, no contest
Hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, RDLs, then cable kickbacks. I keep the first couple lifts heavy and finish with controlled reps instead of throwing weight around just for the ego.

That two-day split sounds solid! I’ve been thinking about separating quad work from glutes and hamstrings because my performance usually drops off when I try to hit everything hard in one workout. Do you keep the same exercises every week or rotate a few?

I do one strength-focused day and one hypertrophy day. Heavy compounds first, then higher reps on machines and isolation work.

My current setup is squat-focused lower body on Monday and glutes/hamstrings on Thursday. Monday is squats, leg press, leg extensions, and calves; Thursday is RDLs, hip thrusts, seated leg curls, and Bulgarian split squats. I track my reps and loads so I know when I’m actually progressing instead of just chasing a pump. That’s helped me more than constantly changing my routine.

Honestly, I stopped making every leg day a death match and started leaving a little in the tank. My strength is moving up, my recovery is better, and I’m finally consistent.

Two lower days with 2–3 recovery days between them works best for me. Enough volume to grow without being sore all week!
